Review of Westhaven Motel in Fox Glacier, New Zealand

By

Where We Slept is our hotel roundup from our time on the road. We hope it helps budget travelers see how far their dollar can go--even though sometimes, it's not far enough!

Living in New Zealand means you don't stay in too many hotels, but when Rob's parents came to visit, we obviously spread out a bit.

In Fox Glacier township, we stayed at the Westhaven Motel Fox Glacier, where we paid $130 for 4 people. It was only one room so the beds were right next to each other and the kitchenette was tiny. WiFi was included, which was great, and the bathroom was fairly new and modern.

This was the best deal I could find in Fox. It's such a small town that there really isn't that much selection.

Again, Agoda proved to have the best price.

TIP: Overnighting in Fox? Bring your own food or prepare to eat out

The tiny grocery store closes at 8pm.
