Review of Aspiring Holiday Park in Wanaka, New Zealand

By

Where We Slept is our hotel roundup from our time on the road. We hope it helps budget travelers see how far their dollar can go--even though sometimes, it's not far enough!

Living in New Zealand means you don't stay in too many hotels, but when Rob's parents came to visit, we obviously spread out a bit.

Overall, I found the best deals for New Zealand on Agoda. They seemed to have the best rates for all of our hotels, especially when you took into consideration that breakfast and WiFi would be included.

In Wanaka, we had a family room at Aspiring Holiday Park. It was $120 for four people without breakfast.

The room had a kitchenette and a separate bedroom, but sharing the pullout couch made for a cozy night for me and Rob.

The hot tub was a nice treat after a day spent in the car and the view from the deck of the room was awesome--all mountains and sunset. They also had a nice grill with free gas that we took advantage off to make some burgers.

Overall, Aspiring Holiday Park in Wanaka was a really nice place and one of the best deals in a very expensive little town.

TIP: Try to find rooms with kitchenettes

You save a ton of money by making breakfast and lunch (and even dinner) as opposed to going out.
