Where We Slept is our hotel roundup from our time on the road. We hope it helps budget travelers see how far their dollar can go--even though sometimes, it's not far enough!
We paid 1000P to stay at Aaron Beach Resort, right on the beach.
It wasn't much of a resort (no screens on the window and no mosquito net!), and the price was a bit high, but it did put us right on the water, which made it super easy to get a boat the next morning.
TIP: Stay overnight
There were two other people in the water with us because we snorkeled before the day trippers and tour groupers showed up.
The restaurant here looked pretty good, although we ventured out since we try to spread our money around a bit when we travel. That said, they had cold and affordable beers that you could drink in their nicely shaded gazebos overlooking the ocean!
