Before we made the move to Queenstown, we had a few different visits that made us fall in love with the place.
So when it came time for my 30th birthday, there was no question as to where I'd want to celebrate.
Lucky for us, I grabbed an awesome deal with GrabOne for the Breakfree Waterfront Resort.
This apartment complex cum hotel is in the quieter part of Queenstown, but the views from the rooms are incredible. We had the two bedroom apartment on the top floor, with floor to ceiling windows and a view of the Remarkables.
There was a huge kitchen, which Rob used to prepare a gourmet feast and really comfortable couches. There was even a gas fireplace, which unfortunately we needed despite it being "summer" in New Zealand.
If you can get a deal for this place, you should absolutely book it! You'll notice that some of the comments say it's not 5 star, and it's not as the kitchen is a tad run down. The views more than make up for it, though!
